Dental Implants
The StarSurf® etching process is designed for dental implants made from titanium and medical-grade titanium alloy TA6V ELI.
Three levels of porosity
The StarSurf® treatment provides the implant surface with macro, micro, and nano porosity.
Increased Contact Surface
On a macro and micro scale, the treatment increases bone-to-implant contact (BIC), enhancing stability.
Hydrophilic surface
At nano level, the texturing created by the treatment makes the implant surface fully hydrophilic.
Residue-free process
The initial treatment step uses a biocompatible ceramic blasting medium that dissolves in subsequent chemical baths, guaranteeing a residue-free surface. As it is soluble in the chemical treatment baths that the implants are subsequently exposed to, the surface obtained with the StarSurf® treatment is totally sandblasting residue free.
Adaptation of the process
Adaptation of the treatment to sectors other than dentistry according to customer specifications (spine, maxillofacial, knee, etc.).
The StarSurf® surface treatment optimizes the biocompatibility of titanium implants, promoting accelerated osseointegration.
Its textured surface, distributed over three levels of porosity, improves the adhesion of the bone to the implant, guaranteeing a stable and durable fixation. The nano texturing improves the implant’s wettability, accelerating healing and enhancing patient comfort.
