On Sunday, April 6th, several of our employees laced up their sneakers to take on a new sports challenge: the Ekiden 2025!
The Ekiden: A Relay Marathon from Japan
Inspired by a Japanese tradition, the Ekiden is a relay marathon. Six runners from the same team share the iconic distance of 42.195 km. Each team successively completes relays of 5 km, 10 km, 5 km, 10 km, 5 km, and 7.195 km. This inclusive format allows everyone, from beginners to experienced runners, to participate in a collective sports adventure. It’s an event that celebrates team spirit, cohesion, and conviviality! For this second edition organized by the Marathon de La Rochelle Serge Vigot Association, the event brought together 300 teams.
Corporate Challenge: Team Selenium Medical
As part of the corporate challenge, 12 motivated employees from Selenium Medical proudly represented the company’s colors. Split into two teams of six, our runners gave their best and demonstrated a great team spirit, endurance, and enthusiasm, all in a festive atmosphere under the bright sun! This sports challenge was an ideal opportunity to strengthen team cohesion, step out of the professional environment, and share a meaningful moment centered around the values of sport. The fresh sea air and the energy of the participants made this sports challenge a truly enjoyable experience!
